This painting is inspired by the story of the Princess & the Frog. The story is about a Prince who is turned into a frog by a witch (probably for being a brat). I like this fairy-tale because the Princess holds all the power. Unlike other fairy-tales, where the Princess is waiting to be freed, in this fairy-tale the Princess is doing the freeing.
Usually the Prince is freed from his curse by a kiss from the Princess. However, in the original Grimm Brothers version, the Princess throws the frog against the wall to release him from his spell. But don’t worry, no frogs were harmed during the making of this painting.
