Offside

This semi-abstract figurative painting is part of my |Contained| series, exploring themes of presence and restraint. A striking element of this piece is the woman’s red shoes—one of the few works in the series to feature them. The delicate interplay of pattern is echoed in the striped dress, which softly reflects onto the floor, creating a sense of continuity and depth. The subject gazes impassively to the side, her expression enigmatic, her focus beyond the frame, inviting the viewer to wonder what lies just out of sight.
